Scandinavian mythology and particularly alfar - a magical spirits of several worlds, a source for all the fantasy about elves inspired me for this painting. There are a lot of fairy tales: they dwell in rocks, they keep secrets of treasure location, they talk to trees… But there is one saying that being much closer to nature, a part of their magic and artifacts helps them to see deep into the roots of things and creatures, even understand and reach for good but hidden parts of human's soul.
